How to Start

The preset house the game leads with. It was the only house in the demo, and it ships in the full game as the ready-to-decorate starting home: rooms, windows and base furniture already in place, waiting for your layer of decor.

Where to Start: Available from the start — pick the Frutiger Eco House when the game asks you to choose a home. No unlock conditions, no currency, nothing to build first.

How It Works

What You Get in the Box

The Eco House hands you a finished architectural shell: multiple rooms with big windows, the green-tinted glass panels seen in the official screenshots, and a base furniture layout. Your job is the fun layer — recolor, swap, resize and restyle every surface. Because the shell is done, all your decorating time goes into style, not construction.

Recoloring Toward Aqua or Dorfic

Every piece and surface in the preset can be recolored, and that is the house's real flexibility: a single recolor pass on the sofa family plus a wallpaper swap turns the green Eco base into a soft Aqua lounge or a white Dorfic loft. The preset is Eco-styled but not Eco-locked.

Recolor room by room, not piece by piece. One room per color direction keeps the house coherent — whole-house single-color passes tend to flatten it.

Photo Mode First

The house is tuned for screenshots: window light is generous, the room shapes read clearly at thumbnail size, and the built-in furniture gives the bloom preset something to work with. Run a photo pass after each decorating session — the camera exposes arrangement mistakes that walking around hides.

Step-by-Step Loop

Preparation

None needed — the house is the tutorial space. Open the furniture menu, skim the category tabs, and recolor one sofa. That first recolor teaches 90 percent of the interface (pick piece, pick color family, confirm), and the same flow covers every other object in the house.

The Core Loop

  • Walk the house once and pick the room you will finish first — usually the one the entry opens into.
  • Anchor the room: one large piece (sofa, aquarium, table) placed and oriented first.
  • Recolor the anchor to your target style family, then build the layer under it (rug, plants, lighting).
  • Photo-mode pass: shoot the room, fix the two worst things the photo shows, move on.
  • Repeat per room; save whole-house passes (wallpaper, exterior) for last.

When to Move On

When the preset starts feeling small — you want a room shape the shell does not have, or a second building on the plot — that is the signal to graduate to the blank plot. Everything you learned here transfers; you just add the construction layer.

What You Get

  • A finished-looking first home — and the full interface fluency the rest of the game assumes
